Today in our 'Leaders in Local' series, we visit 5AU, 5CS and Magic 105.9, broadcasting across the Spencer Gulf region in South Australia.
Here are just some of the things the energetic 5AU, 5CS and Magic 105.9 teams have been up to in the local community:
Macca's Local Footy Free Kick
In a recent promotion called 'Maccas Local Footy Free Kick' for McDonald's local restaurants, listeners voted for their favourite local sporting club.
Five local clubs received $1,000 Junior Football Kits across the local region and a $500 cash prize for a local listener who voted.
York Peninsula Field Days
The Spencer Gulf team's Simon Gimenez spent three days broadcasting live from the Yorke Peninsula Field Days at Paskeville.
Primary Focus host Bryan Littlely (pictured above) was also there to get all of the primary industry news from the thick of the action.
The Whyalla Show
The Spencer Gulf team did an Outside Broadcast at The Whyalla Show. COVID-19 cancelled most other "Shows" in local regions, so this was an excellent opportunity to get out in our local Marketplace.
Thank a First Responder Day
The Magic 105.9 team visited the SA Country Fire Service to say a big THANK YOU.
It was also a chance for Jackie to get dressed up and check out a fire truck.
Copper Coast Cornish Festival
Magic 105.9 was live from the Kernewek Lowender in Moonta to kick off the Copper Coast Cornish Festival and soak up all the Cornish history.
Dob in a Sports Hero
Magic 105.9 congratulated Yvonne Tobin as part of "Dob in a Sports Hero".
Yvonne has been a proud member of the Crystal Brook Hockey Club for decades and celebrated her 950th game.
Yvonne has no intention of anything getting between her and her 1000th game.
