Andy Mathers, General Manager of K rock said:

We will continue to call every Geelong Cats AFL match as we have done across 3GL/K rock since 1932. We are now adding an AFL standard call to the GFL, with the K rock Match of the Round live every week on K rock 95.5”.
Acting AFL Barwon RGM Georgia Hillman said:
“We are extremely excited to partner with K rock as the official Broadcast Partner of the GFL. To have an AFL quality call for our Premier competition is something we are extremely proud of and think our clubs will be too.”
As part of K rock’s exciting partnership with AFL Barwon and the GFL, K rock will also hold naming rights to three end of season awards in 2021 and 2022, including:
- ‘K rock Player MVP’; A player-voted MVP player award voted on at season’s end.
- ‘K rock GFL Coaches Team of the Year’; K rock will be the naming rights holder to the long standing GFL Coaches Team of the Year for the next two seasons.
- ‘K rock Umpire of the Year’; The top umpire in the GFL will be decided at the end of the year, as voted by the coaches following each week’s game.
